The Talon Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son, Jack Nicklaus II. It was home to the PGA Tour Champions' Ace Group Classic (now the Chubb Classic) from 2002-2006 and again from 2012-2018. The Talon, consistently ranked as one of the finest courses in Florida, features all of the trademarks of Nicklaus Golf including length, challenging approaches, and undulating greens. There are several sparkling lakes throughout the Talon along with tremendous amounts of wildlife that only being on the edge of a Florida Preserve can offer you. The Talon Course was fully renovated during our Phase One Renovation project and reopened December 2021.

The Eagle Course was designed by renowned architect Steve Smyers and design associate, Patrick Andrews. Residents and professionals alike love the Course’s thought-provoking playing angles, optical challenges and gorgeous setting. As his inspiration for the Eagle, Smyers drew on historical designs created by classic course designers like Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor. The connection to Macdonald was particularly fitting for Smyers, considering that The TwinEagles Clubhouse was originally designed to pay homage to St. Andrews and the highland manors of Scotland. Smyers and his design associate consider the Eagle Course a true work of art that makes the most of a natural setting.
In 2019, Smyers and his design team led a renovation of four holes on the Eagle, making the course even more playable and enjoyable for members and guests.

The Eagle Course demonstrates observation to perfection. Without exception, every hump and hollow, every ridge and roll on the TwinEagles layout was placed there for a reason. Some are there to benefit the prudent player; some are there to penalize the impatient. It is up to the player alone to study the landscape, analyze their own abilities and emotions, gauge the conditions and select the proper play. As Smyers offers, at the Eagle Course, the right shot always beats the good shot. And isn’t that the real hallmark of any great golf course? If you take time to learn this golf course, you will beat any player who doesn’t understand it. And if you learn this course, learn the shots to hit and learn how to manage yourself while you manage your way around it,” Smyers concludes, “you will become a much better player.”

Our Club currently offers two dining outlets (Tiki - pool and lakeside dining; Hardhat Café - additional option during renovations), but looks forward to having three options when our Phase One Renovations are complete.
